Mr. Foster has over 25 years experience in corporate
security management, law enforcement and security consulting.
As a law enforcement officer, Mr. Foster served
as a detective with assignments in burglary, auto theft, and crimes
against persons.
He was the Vice President for security for a
state-wide bank and managed a staff of 30 persons. His department
was responsible for physical security, investigations, data security,
executive protection, regulatory compliance, security training,
and the purchase and maintenance of security equipment.
As a consultant, Mr. Foster has developed and/or
audited security programs involving financial institutions, multi-unit
residential properties, hotels/motels, retail stores, high rise
office buildings, shopping malls, parking facilities, college campuses,
lounges, jewelry stores, truck stops and other commercial properties.
Mr. Foster has frequently been retained as a
litigation consultant by law firms representing plaintiffs and defendants
in negligent security lawsuits. He has testified at trial as an
expert in the field of security.
He has been an adjunct instructor at two colleges
teaching courses in criminology, criminalistics, criminal justice
management and computer fraud. Mr. Foster has made presentations
to the Community Bankers of America, the Internatonal Association
of Professional Security Consultants and the Florida West Coast
Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security. He made
seminar presentations on negligent security and was the lead speaker
for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Community Security Task
Force making presentations to business groups.
Mr. Foster was a contributing author to the Premises
Security and Liability-A Comprehensive Guide From The Experts
and has written several articles on security and fraud prevention/detection.
His formal education includes a BS in Law Enforcement
and Security from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a MEd
in Education from the University of Tampa. He has attended several
seminars involving the subjects of security and fraud prevention/detection.
He is a member and former chapter chairman of
the American Society of Industrial Security and is currently a member
of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants.
He also served on the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of West
Central Florida. He is Co-founder and principal of Professinal Security
Consultants-International, serving maritime security interests.
